Epson today unveiled two ultra-portable multimedia projectors that are targeted at active, busy users who travel frequently or require mobile presentations.
Weighing just 1.8 kilograms, the Epson EB-1725 (XGA) and 1735W (WXGA) projectors are able to achieve up to 2000:1 contrast ratio. Both projectors, which feature 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, offer users the options of delivering either standard or widescreen presentations.
Setting up a wireless connection between the notebook and projector has now been made easier and faster, thanks to Epson’s new Quick Wireless Connection USB Key. To establish the wireless connection set up for the first time, users of the Epson EB-1725 and 1735W projectors simply have to insert the USB Key into the projector, and then into the notebook.
The USB Key will automatically detect and reconfigure the notebook’s network settings and within seconds, the user will be able to commence the presentation. The original network settings will be restored when users remove the USB key from the notebook after the presentation.
The first in the industry to offer the Quick Wireless Connection USB Key, the new feature is testament of Epson’s commitment in keeping pace with modern consumer and business demands.
For those who are often on the move or who may still prefer to establish a wired connection, a single standard USB cable now allows you to send sound – besides images – from the notebook to the Epson EB-1725 and 1735W projectors, thus reducing set-up time and also eliminating the need to carry a bulky VGA cable around.
In addition, instead of navigating the pages of your PowerPoint slides through the notebook, users of the Epson EB-1725 and 1735W projectors can now do so from any part of the conference room or classroom by using the ‘page-up’ and ‘page-down’ buttons on the remote control.
Another wireless feature that many users would certainly welcome is the ability to connect up to four projectors with a remote notebook or computer.Instead of having to trim or crop a single huge image to fit the size of one screen, presenters could now wow their audience by projecting the landscape image onto four screens! Alternatively, presenters could also utilize each screen to project a different image.
The Epson EB-1725 and 1735W projectors also incorporate the Epson Twin Optimized Reflection Lamp (E-TORL) technology that eliminates light leakage and minimises light defraction, while projecting more light output in lumens (brightness) per watt.
Not only will this provide users with superior resolution and brighter image quality, the E-TORL technology also allows the lamp to last up to 4,000 hours – giving users additional savings amid rising fuel and energy costs.
As both projectors require a shorter throw distance** as compared to other models, there is now lesser risk of sacrificing the quality of both the presentation and high-resolution images due to constricted space. In other words, the projection of large images in small and space-tight rooms would now be less of a hassle for many users.
The introduction of new features and flexible projection solutions with USB connectivity have positioned the Epson EB-1725 and 1735W as an ideal equipment in virtually any conference room setting for its users, especially the mobile presenters.
Both projectors feature Epson’s latest high-aperture, 3-Chip 3LCD optical engine that delivers amazing colour and detail to your presentations.Besides providing true-to-life image quality, the 3LCD technology also prevents colour breakup, a common occurrence in other projector technology in the market.
