he REVA car was designed in California and is manufactured by REVA Electric Car Company in India. The REVA is very small and maneuverable, seats 2 adults and 2 teens, requires no fuel, and the battery pack can be recharged at any standard electric outlet such as in your home or office within a few hours. Each full charge gives over 80 km of driving range, which in Kathmandu means 2-3 days of typical driving. As per our actual test driving in Kathmandu under typical usage, the cost to operate the vehicle is only about 30-35 Rupees a day (depending on your electric rate).
The REVA has been tested for many years in India and is being exported to UK, Japan and other European countries, where REVA has passed and exceeded all Euro safety standards. We at Eco-Visions have tested 5 REVA cars in Kathmandu for the last year and found them perfectly suited for the Kathmandu streets, easy to park and drive on bumpy narrow roads, up steep hills and maneuvering in heavy traffic with no problem. We have test-driven the REVA with 4 persons to Nagarkot and Dhulikel with plenty of battery energy to return back to Kathmandu, thanks to the on-board Energy Management System (EMS) computer.
Benefits of the Electric Vehicle technology to your organization
:
 • Zero pollution and no noise – reduces air pollution and global warming, so your organization will be setting a good example for the Kathmandu Community to follow for operating clean transportation instead of petrol/diesel polluting vehicles.

• No engine, transmission, gears clutch, radiator, carburetor, or oil changes, therefore the REVA car has far less maintenance and down-time.

• Far easier to operate, no clutch or gears, anyone can easily drive the vehicles.

• The REVA's operating cost far lower than Petrol or Diesel cars, in fact the REVA is cheaper than a motorcycle to operate yet unlike a motorcycle, the REVA carries 4 persons fully protected from the weather and in full air-conditioned comfort.

 • The REVA owner will save up to NRs.11 lakhs over 10 years of daily usage versus using a petrol car, including the cost of battery pack replacement every 3 years.

• The REVA will displace over 10 Metric TONS of carbon pollution every, and should be eligible for a rebate (we are working out the logistics of this process
